MECHANICAL CHRONOGRAPH

The Seagull ST19 powers the HVD SpectreDiver Chronograph. It's remarkable that this vintage-inspired movement, succeeding the Venus 175, continues to be manufactured at such an affordable price point.

In this price range, no other mechanical chronograph can match its price-to-performance ratio. The ST19 features a column wheel, requiring precise tolerances and more labor-intensive production compared to the alternative cam-actuated method. However, its significant advantage lies in delivering a smooth chronograph action. For instance, the popular Valjoux/ETA 7750, despite being more expensive, exhibits a notably clunkier pusher action compared to the ST19.
